KTL Europe UK is a growing freight forwarding company and part of the Kinay Group, an established international logistics group founded in 1949.
We are currently expanding our UK operations and looking for an Operations Executive to support our import-focused logistics activities.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day freight forwarding operations, primarily focused on import shipments into the UK, including sea, road and air freight.
The role will also involve supporting customs processes, warehouse coordination and ensuring smooth end-to-end shipment handling.
This is a hands-on operational role within a structured team with clear responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing import shipments (sea, road and air) from booking to delivery
- Coordinating with overseas agents and partners
- Liaising with carriers, hauliers and warehouse teams
- Handling shipping documentation and supporting customs clearance processes
- Monitoring shipment status and ensuring timely delivery
- Supporting warehouse and distribution activities where required
- Maintaining strong communication with customers and partners
- Ensuring compliance with UK customs and logistics regulations
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in freight forwarding operations (sea/road/air)
- Good understanding of UK import procedures and customs processes
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
Additional advantages:
- Familiarity with Turkey/India/China trade lane
- Level 4 Customs Practitioner or similar knowledge
- Experience with CargoWise or similar systems
