WW2 Tank Destroyer heading to the USA

KTL Europe has just been part of moving this WW2 tank from France to the USA.

The tank is an M-10 Achilles, a WW2 tank destroyer. It was originally built in the US with a 3” antitank gun and it was converted in UK to a more powerful British 17 pounder antitank gun.

It proved to be the only weapon (along similarly upgunned Sherman “Firefly” and the towable 17 pounder) that British/Commonwealth troops possessed to effectively combat German heavy tanks like the Tiger, Panther and King Tiger, including at Normandy battles 80 years ago.

Our vehicle underwent a complete restoration over past 4 years in France. It’s one of a handful of fully operational M-10 Achilles in the world and is heading to the Wheels of Liberation collection in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in the US and it will receive markings of the Polish 1st Armored Division that fought in N-E Europe in 1944/45

KLT arranged the shipment, It was loaded on a MAFI, which is similar to a flat rack but used for RORO Shipping. It was then loaded onto a RORO vessel for shipping.
