Tom and Louie attended the first Solent Young Forwarder Social Networking event.

On Wednesday Louie and Tom attended and ran the very first Solent Young Forwarder Network (YFN) Social Networking event at the Dancing Man Brewery in Southampton.

The location and theme of the event was all down to Louie. He created a pub quiz which was a combination of general knowledge and freight questions. This was set for the beginning of the evening before an informal first meeting.

The meeting covered the vision of the Solent YFN going forwards. 

Paul (BIFA Representative who has been helping Louie run + market the events) also had a few points to cover about us potentially going into local colleges on career days to help bring more young people into the industry.

It was a great event, which was mainly just to break the ice and help everyone get to know each other before we try to grow the network with future events next year.
