Industry Notice: Ongoing Disruptions at UK Ports

With growing concerns across the logistic and supply chain sectors we are continuing to see disruptions escalating at key UK ports, particularly DP World London Gateway and DP World Southampton.

At London Gateway, hauliers are reporting significant delays caused by prolonged truck wait times, equipment availability issues, and infrastructure constraints — including a recent power outage that has further impacted port operations.

Southampton is also experiencing disruption, primarily due to heavy inbound road traffic, which is affecting vessel discharge efficiency and slowing turnaround times.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share further updates. Currently these challenges are contributing to rising costs and reduced operational efficiency for carriers and logistics providers. In light of the ongoing congestion, there is increasing speculation that port congestion surcharges may be introduced soon, particularly for shipments routed via London Gateway.
