Position: Multi Modal Freight Sales Executive (BDM)

KTL Europe UK is a branch office of a large multinational freight forwarding company, with multiple worldwide offices.

We offer Worldwide multi-modal shipping by air, sea and road.

About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a sales and Business Development executive to help fulfil our growth plans.

Based in our modern new office in Fareham. The candidate must have relevant sales experience in Air, Ocean and Road freight.

Commercials skills and business acumen are necessary as is the ability to identify and maximise opportunity in order to achieve targets. We are looking for a committed, innovative and energetic approach and the successful candidate will play a key role in our UK commercial plans. There is excellent opportunity to grow and progress with our rapidly evolving company.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

•        Driving new business and sales across multiple freight lines

•        Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased profitable business

•        Building and maintaining Customer network

•        New Customer development Trade lane development

•        Telesales

•        Customer Visits Following up on and generation of Sales Leads

•        Presenting monthly and quarterly performance reports

•        On boarding Customers with Operations

•        Compiling Customer visit reports and updating information on CRM System

•        Ability to manage own work diary, organizing appointments

•        Close new business deals by coordinating requirements and solutions globally; develop and negotiate contracts and integrate contract requirements with business operations

•        Attend industry functions such as events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market and trends

Skills Required:

·        Good knowledge of customs procedures

·        Experience in import and export

·        Understanding of Air and Sea, experience of European Road.

·        Good Communication Skills

·        Good IT Skills, previous experience of cargowise ONE a distinct advantage

·        Proactive approach to problem solving

·        High levels of accuracy

·        Strong Customer care skills
