We would like to inform you that during the past week, India and the United Kingdom have signed a significant agreement known as the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Under this agreement, UK customers will receive duty exemptions when importing materials from India. This development is expected to boost export volumes from India, opening up greater opportunities for trade and economic collaboration between the two nations.

The agreement encompasses labour-intensive sectors such as textiles, leather, marine products, gems and jewellery, and toys. It also targets high-growth industries including engineering goods, chemicals, and auto components.

In addition, the agreement features a comprehensive package covering a range of services, including Information Technology (IT) and IT-enabled services, financial and professional services, business consulting, education, telecommunications, architecture, and engineering. This broad coverage is expected to unlock high-value opportunities and drive significant job creation.

We will continue to monitor the implementation details and keep you updated on how this agreement may benefit our business activities.
