According to the BBC’S latest article the government has announced its plans to boost the UK’S annual export to £1 trillion by 2030

The Made in the UK, Sold To The World plan is intended to help UK firms grasp new opportunities in the global markets.

As part of the 12-point plan, government agencies such as UK Export Finance will offer new services to help UK exporters to secure business. International Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan has said it is vital for companies to unleash their full exporting potential. Last year it was recorded that the UK exported £600bn in goods and services.

With other countries recovering quicker from the Covid-19 pandemic the UK also faces the challenges of Brexit. The UK’s new free trade deal has made it harder to export to Europe and with great opportunities to trade across the world the EU should not be overlooked.
